Brazil Wins Gold: First Ever for Brazilian Men's Soccer

For the first time in Brazilian history, they have won the gold medal in men’s soccer.  They had a rough start early in the tournament with several no scoring games.  The heat really got turned up when they beat Denmark 4-0 in the third game.  Brazilians started out losing faith in their star player, Neymar, but quickly gained it back as soon as he scored his first goal of the Olympics.  He set the Olympic world record for quickest goal scored in the first 14 seconds of the game.  Brazil was now on a streak of winning and it just kept coming.  It came to the gold medal match, which was between Brazil and Germany.  The game continued to stay tied throughout the entire match.  After extra time, they then went to penalty kicks to determine the winner of the gold medal.  Neymar was up for the last penalty kick of the game and the score was 4-4.  With one kick the ball was in the goal and Brazil had the gold.  The first gold in Brazilian soccer history.
